Research, Work & Leadership

Research Intern — VibeAuthBench

Boston University Security Lab (SeclaBU), RISE

Designed and built VibeAuthBench, a benchmark that asks AI coding agents to add Google Sign-In to real open-source apps, then measures whether it works and what it broke. Working sign-in in 5 of 30 runs; 163 of 172 security findings came from the new code. Poster accepted at IEEE ACSAC 2026.

Student Intern — AI Agents for Researchers

San Diego Supercomputer Center, UC San Diego

Building AI agents that help researchers run supercomputer operations (loading environment modules, writing job scripts) and measuring what giving those agents more system privileges costs and buys.

Research Intern — PII Detection in Support Tickets

San Diego Supercomputer Center, UC San Diego (REHS)

Benchmarked rule-based, custom NER and LLM-based detection of personally identifiable information across 1,400+ annotated supercomputer support tickets, so future AI support tools can learn from old tickets without leaking anyone's data.

Research Student — LLM Drone Safety

COSMOS, UC Santa Cruz

Tested an LLM-based drone safety decision-maker against 200 weather scenarios under FAA Part 107 rules and found 75% decision inconsistency, in moderate weather rather than bad weather.

Project Lead & Lead Developer

MITRE Embedded Capture the Flag (eCTF)

Founded and lead an independent team in MITRE's national embedded-security CTF: firmware in C on an ARM Cortex-M4, built under strict cryptographic and timing limits, then attacked by every other team. 2nd in the high school division and top 30 overall in our first year.

Software VP & Wiki Developer

Del Norte iGEM

Open Coding Society AI Initiative

Co-founded an AI, AI-safety and AI-security project track inside Del Norte's CS program: 50 students in 8 mentored teams with 12+ industry mentors, funded by grants I write.

Cybersecurity Tutor (self-employed)

CyberPatriot training

Paid CyberPatriot training for two middle schoolers over a summer. They went on to place 3rd in the Middle School Division semifinals.

Nighthawk Ambassador

Del Norte High School

One of 20 students chosen from a class of about 620 for Del Norte's student-ambassador program. We visit elementary and middle schools to talk about character, academics and staying substance-free.

Competed in parliamentary debate for three years (2 bronze medals at league tournaments) and coached Oak Valley Middle School's debaters.

Math Tutor

Russian School of Mathematics; Math Olympiad volunteer

Paid math tutor and former class assistant at the Russian School of Mathematics, plus a weekly volunteer Math Olympiad tutor at a nearby elementary school.

Founder

Del Norte CS Tutoring Club

Founded a peer-tutoring club when teacher turnover left Del Norte's CS classes struggling, ran office-hours and lunch sessions with the CS teacher, and closed it once students and the teacher were back on their feet.
