Del Norte iGEM
Software VP & Wiki Developer
2025 – Present
iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) is a synthetic-biology competition, which puts it well outside my usual security/systems lane — but a research team still needs a real website and a way to present its science, and that’s where I came in. As Software VP and wiki developer I built and maintained the team’s competition wiki and its dev tooling. The team won a Gold Medal in 2025, awarded for its research and how it was documented, and Del Norte was the only high school in San Diego to earn Gold that year. I’m continuing in the same role for the 2026 season, and part of the job is leaving a software foundation the next team can inherit instead of rebuilding.
