VP & Director of Outreach

CyberCEO teaches free cybersecurity and digital-safety workshops to the two groups that tend to get the least of it: young kids and senior citizens. We run interactive classroom sessions and full assemblies at elementary and middle schools, and workshops at senior homes, on spotting scams, protecting your accounts, and using the internet safely and ethically.

I joined as Secretary in 9th grade, mostly taking meeting minutes, and was promoted to VP and Director of Outreach. Outreach means cold-contacting schools and senior homes and working with teachers, principals and administrators until there’s an event on the calendar. As VP I help keep the club running, write new curriculum, and look for ways to make the impact last after we leave.

That last part matters most for the seniors. One presentation doesn’t stop a scam call six months later, so we leave handbooks behind and train senior-home staff to keep using the material between visits.
